LEGAL & PRIVACY
Effective and last updated: September 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how LITS — Love In The Sky (“LITS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you use luvintheskys.com, install the website as an app, connect a LITS mobile-app account, join the newsletter or affiliate program, or contact us. A mobile-app or app-store notice may provide additional details for features used only in that app.
LITS is for adults 18 and older. We use personal information to run and protect the service, verify eligibility, connect members and honor their choices. We do not sell personal information or use website information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
| Category | Examples | Why we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Account and contact | Name, email address, adult confirmation, policy acceptance and version, password hash, account dates | Create and secure your account, document consent, communicate with you, provide support |
| Aviation and profile | Airline or aviation employer, role, home base, biography and profile details you choose to add | Provide the member experience and relevant profile features |
| Verification | Verification status and method; employee badge, work ID, airline email confirmation, or employee-vouch information submitted through the mobile app | Confirm aviation eligibility, prevent impersonation and control interaction access |
| Membership and connection | Plan, status, expiration, app-account link history and profile revision information | Provide plan features and keep a connected website and mobile-app account consistent |
| Social and schedule data | Likes, matches, messages, calendar shares, layover schedules, alerts and event interactions used in the mobile app | Provide requested connection features and enforce member privacy choices |
| Security and technical | Session token, IP address, browser or device information, rate-limit records and security activity | Authenticate users, detect abuse, troubleshoot and protect the service |
| Optional programs | Newsletter email and consent time; affiliate channel, application, referral code and aggregate totals | Send requested communications and operate the affiliate program |
| Support and legal | Messages you send us, complaints, reports, IP notices and records needed to resolve them | Respond to requests, enforce our rules and meet legal obligations |
Do not send passwords, government identification numbers, payment-card details, or unrelated sensitive information by email. Verification documents should be submitted only through the designated in-app process.
If you connect your LITS mobile-app account, the website requests the profile, membership and verification status needed to provide connected features. We may also receive subscription status from an app marketplace or payment provider, referral information from an affiliate link, and information from service providers that help us prevent fraud or keep the service available.
App and website passwords remain separate. App passwords and one-time verification codes are used only to authenticate a connection request and are not stored by this website.
Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, your consent, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, service improvement and enforcing our rules. You may withdraw consent for future processing at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing already completed or information we must retain for another lawful reason.
We disclose information only as needed to operate LITS: to hosting, infrastructure, authentication, app marketplace, communications and support providers; between the LITS website and mobile app when you connect them; to other members according to your profile and feature settings; to professional advisers; during a business transaction; or when required to protect rights, safety, the service or the law.
We do not sell personal information. As of the effective date, we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that practice changes, we will update this notice and provide any choice required by law before using information that way.
Members may browse while airline-employment verification is pending, but LITS blocks sending and receiving likes, matches, messages, calendar shares, layover alerts and event interactions until approval. Purchasing or receiving a paid plan never grants verification.
Layover schedules and alerts remain private after approval. They are available only between matched members who have both added each other to their private layover lists. Removing either permission ends access. LITS may still process limited records needed to apply those permissions and investigate misuse.
Essential cookies keep you signed in. This device may store your theme choice, cookie-notice acknowledgement and temporary install-prompt preference. The installed website caches public icons and a generic offline page; it does not intentionally cache member pages or account responses for offline access. The website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.
The website does not collect full payment-card numbers for mobile-app memberships. Purchases are completed through the applicable app marketplace or payment provider under its own privacy terms. LITS may receive transaction identifiers, plan, subscription status, expiration and other information needed to provide membership access and support.
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including maintaining an account, providing requested features, preventing fraud, resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record and legal requirement.
You can delete your website account from the member area after disconnecting a linked app account. This removes the website account, private website profile and active sessions. Mobile-app accounts, purchases and newsletter subscriptions are separate and must be managed separately. Limited security, audit, transaction, consent, complaint or legal records may be retained when reasonably necessary and then deleted or de-identified. Backup copies may remain for a limited recovery period.
You may edit profile information, change your password, disconnect an app account, delete your website account and unsubscribe from optional email. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about how data is used and disclosed. You may appeal or complain to a privacy regulator where applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a protected privacy right.
Send a request to info@blackrocketdigital.com with the subject “LITS Privacy Request.” We may verify your identity and authority before acting. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain if an exception applies.
LITS and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for cross-border transfers and preserve rights available under applicable law.
We use administrative, technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information, including password hashing, authenticated sessions, access controls, rate limiting, request validation and administrative activity records. No system is completely secure. Protect your credentials, use a unique password and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
LITS is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly allow minors to create accounts. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will change the date above and provide additional notice when required. Questions, privacy requests and complaints may be sent to info@blackrocketdigital.com. Do not include your password.
